On Tuesday, January 3, 2017, Stuart Cochran, of Steckler Wayne & Love, filed a $5 million lawsuit against Adeptus Health on behalf of a Colorado man. The complaint, filed in the Texas Eastern District Court in Sherman, alleges that Adeptus exploits confusion in the healthcare marketplace, fraudulently preying on consumers by failing to disclose excessive costs that sometimes reached up to $6,000 per visit.
